Post 3: Creativity Article

This article talks about how creativity isn’t just about being a “genius” like Picasso or Steve Jobs—everyone has the ability to be creative in their own way. It explains two types of creativity: "little-c" creativity, like making a funny joke or coming up with a new use for an everyday object, and "Big-C" creativity, like writing a poem or creating a scientific experiment. The study discussed in the article looked at how brain activity relates to creativity. Using fMRI scans, the researchers found that people with stronger connections in a specific set of brain networks—called the default, salience, and executive networks—tended to come up with more creative ideas. This suggests that creativity is a complex process that involves different parts of the brain working together.

This makes me think that creativity isn’t just something you’re born with, but something that can be developed. If we can improve how our brains connect these networks, we might be able to boost our own creativity.
